  • ½ cup Salsa mild

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • 2 Medium Mixing Bowls

Main Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉ to ensure it is ready for the first bake.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat while breaking it into small crumbles.
  3. Drain the excess fat from the skillet once the meat is no longer pink.
  4. Mix the biscuit blend and water in a bowl until a soft dough forms, using your hands if necessary.
  5. Press the dough into a greased 9x13 dish and par-bake for 5 to 8 minutes until just set.
  6. Sauté the onions and peppers with the beef for 4 minutes before stirring in the taco seasoning.
  7. Layer the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the par-baked biscuit crust.
  8. Whisk the sour cream, mayo, green chiles, garlic powder, and half the cheese in a separate bowl.
  9. Spread the creamy mixture over the beef and dot with salsa before topping with the remaining cheese.
  10. Bake the assembled dish for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are bubbling.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For the best texture, reheat individual portions in the oven or air fryer to keep the biscuit base from becoming too soft. This recipe is excellent for prep-ahead meals as you can brown the beef and chop the vegetables a day in advance.
